Icelandic is a decent airline, but note that (1) the flying time via Iceland
isn't that much shorter than nonstop, (2) they fly 757's (except from San
Francisco where they use 767's) so if you don't like narrow body airplanes,
they're not for you, and (3) the arrival in Rejkavik is early morning with
less time to nap than on a nonstop to Europe.
