Not noticed how so many new cars look so similar...? There's only so
much scope for change while meeting all the practical requirements.

With aircraft it is all practical requirements. I mean, it's not like
they are going to have a different shaped wings just to make a style
statement is it..? And in any case there are only basically two
manufacturers so I doubt branding is so important (I've yet to hear
anyone say they would 'never be seen dead in an Airbus.'.. or 'that
A380 is soooo passe.'..)

I expect all the developments are in the avionics, materials, the
injuns etc.
