It can seal a broken window, remove lint from clothing and repair a
vacuum hose.

Duct tape also can be used to strap down unruly airline passengers.

The versatile adhesive is a common airline restraining device, used as
a last resort when flight attendants need to keep someone seated.

It almost reached that point on Frontier Airlines Flight 108, when an
attendant grabbed a roll of duct tape after trying to calm down Tamera
Jo Freeman, who disrupted a flight from San Francisco to Denver and
allegedly abused her kids.
