Why not have variable width seats, put the skinny people in the narrow
seats , short people in the seats with no leg room.

Why should you have to? There is not much of an argument that seat prices
are based solely on the weight of the passengers. Airline ticket pricing is
a mystery to most, depending on the time, date and season of the flight,
the length of stay and any other factors.
