Re: ATA Shut Down Posted on: Fri, 4 Apr 2008 12:03:23 +0000 (UTC)

I stopped booking through ATA many moons ago. I only did MDW-LAS runs
and it was not "will be my flight be delayed", but "how long will it
be delayed". Average was about 1:45, had one almost 5 hours where we
had to change planes due to a mechanical failure and after almost one
hour of trying to reassign seats (smaller plane) they just said "go
for it".

I remember getting a $200 voucher from National (R.I.P.) from a flight
that was delayed a whopping 12 hours (had a to fly a part in) but the
R/T was only $89 so I made a profit on the flight :-) I made sure
I used the vouchers when they started talking bankruptcy. I think
Vanguard was also going under then. Midway, National, ATA. Flew
them all to Vegas at one time or another.
