Unfortunately one overfhead bin can hold two, maybe three small bags.
That bin crosses above two rows of three seats. That's three bags per
six people!

The airlines are shooting themselves in the foot with this one. The
nuisance and delays are costly. Checking is quicker and better. WHy
penalize that? Want more revenue, raise the ticket price.
