Thanks for those photos. Agreed that there is little to nothing to see
in Beaufort, but Tenom is definitely worth an afternoon look around.
It is an easy morning ride to or from Ranau. The train between Tenom
and Beaufort is a must see if you will be in the area.
About Kudat... It is just another beach. Nothing special at all. The
views to the north are worth a look, but it is a long way to go for
only that view. For a quick beach trip, I thought the Tunku Abdul
Rahman Park just opposite from Kota Kinabalu was the best place in the
area.
If you do the north of Sabah first and plan on ending up at Poring Hot
Springs afterwards, it is an easy morning ride from Poring to Ranau to
Tenom.
