Unless you save on the airfare by both arriving and departing
at Narita, why return to Tokyo? Kansai International (KIX), the
new international airport for the Osaka area, is easy to get to and
has lots of flights back to the U.S.. It wouldn't hurt to at least price
it that way and see how it comes out - keeping in mind the cost
of the shinkansen and NEX or bus tickets required to get back
to Tokyo and leave via Narita.
