Subject: Thailand: January bad time to visit? Posted on: 08 Oct 2003 16:49:34 GMT

My wife and I have been planning our trip to Thailand for January, since
the weather is supposed to be good then. The more I understand the Thai
tourism market, the more I see that mid-late January is just after the
absolute peak of the high season.

Will we regret visiting Thailand during the peak tourist season? Will
everything (especially down near the Krabi &etc area) be swamped? Would it
be smarter to delay the trip a month or three, thus avoiding some of the
crowds? What kind of weather can we expect if we do?

Thanks!
Gary
