I did quite some research earlier this year on flights between Bangkok and
Kuala Lumpur. It seems they are seldom full, and prices are always more or
less the same. I did a dummy booking just now for KUL departure 30 October
to BKK departure 31 October and the price is 918 ringgit or USD 241.61. This
seems to be the normal price on this route. Malaysian Airlines and Thai
Airways cooperate and codeshare on this route so there is little
competition. (you may try SQ via Singapore)
