I would agree with Alfred as internet access is excellent in many areas with
the exception of maybe Ladakh and the countryside. However. if you need phone
access this isn't a bad idea. Coverage is somewhat regional from what I hear.
My neice uses a system started by an NRI. I believe the name is airtell but I
will check it out.
