Sabah is pretty safe. Sabah is not in the Press until that
isolated situation of the kidnapping came about a couple of
years ago and the press just overplay the situation especially
in the West.

I visit Sabah about twice a year and it is amongst the safest place
in the world that I visited. The crime rates are pretty low and you
might get a couple of pickpockets but that's about it. It is no different
from anywhere else in the world.

Sabahans are amongst the friendliest people that I know.
