Subject: Re: Train Travel New Delhi...Safety?? Posted on: Wed, 25 Feb 2004 09:59:26 +0100

when traveling by train in the north (especially Delhi area) beware the fog!
this can cause biig delays. Last year our train from Delhi to Kolkata was
delayed by 12 hours and took us 26 hours to reach (instead of 12-13 hours
normally)
Trains which are southward bound don't have this problem.. we expected the
worst when boarding a train inKolkata going to Kanyakumari, a journey of
more than 50 hours.. it arrived dot on time!!
