1. we flew British Airways, but i had some good experience with Swiss as
well. KLM is good, but cheap seats are taken fast.
2. yes, be sure to take some cash, because finding a place to exchange
traveler's cheques may not be that easy once you leave the airport. Often
banks require you to have an account in order to exchange traveler's cheques
so you're confined to using money exchange offices. Euro-rate to rupee is
now better than the dollar. paying with plastic is possible in fancier
places.
