In Kathmandu you get a package tour which takes you by bus to Lhasa
with stops on the way. You will go up in altitude very fast, so try the
pills that prevent altitude sickness once you go over 3000m, and garlic
soup if available at the restaurant.
Also don't forget the maoist rebels are active in Nepal.

If you're somewhere that is forbidden to tourists, you will get arrested
and escorted out of the area.

Sounds like you're ready for China. Don't forget to visit other parts
of China, like Dali, Lijiang, Stone forest in Yunnan, Yangshuo in
Guangxi, etc.
Since you're from Mtl, can you tell me what is the cheapest way to get
from Montreal to Asia? |
