Thailand is free on arrival, valid about 30 days (renewable I think).
Cambodia and Laos are on-arrival but charge a fee (about US$20-30 each).
According to my passport Laos is valid for only 14 days.
I dont know about Vietnam.
I think China/Tibet still needs a visa in advance.
Japan is free on arrival.
There may be more info at www.fco.gov.uk
