Yesterday, a KLM check-in person in Amsterdam told me I could not board a
flight to Kuala Lumpur on a one-way ticket (the first time I'd ever been
told this, which makes me think it's a problem mainly confined to Europe).
I flipped through my passport, which is saturated with red and purple ink of
Malaysian immigration stamps, to underscore the fact that I've done it 10 or
15 times this year already (flying from the USA, middle east, or Asia,
though, never Europe). She took it over to the supervisor and came back in a
few minutes and told me it was okay after all.
