I just flew them yesterday. Last-minute one-way from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur
for $75; that's hard to beat. The plane wasn't that full and I had three
seats to stretch out and nap in.
The flight was about 15 minutes behind schedule but otherwise fine. I'm sure
they manage to irritate people from time to time, as all airlines do, but I
still haven't had any bad experiences after using them regularly to get
between KL and Bangkok, and occasionally within Thailand or between KL and
Bali.
Pros:
- Cheap
- No-nonsense
- Friendly
Cons:
- Can't change a flight if you're closer than 48 hours to departure without
going to the airport and begging
- Cramped seating
- No free food or drinks
YMMV:
- Open seating
