I traveled to the Surigao - Butuan - Nasipit areas in the north of
Mindanao, and found it very much like the central Visayan region. I was
advised by the friendly locals there, not to travel any farther south by
bus, than Cagayan de Oro. They suggested if I wanted to visit the Davao
region (which I would still like to do, someday), to fly in ,or travel by
ship . Enjoy!
