The beach at Cha-am was decent; I would say that an overnight trip to
Cha-am and nearby Hua Hin (about 4 hours by car each way from Bangkok)
is well worth the effort, with the cave temple and Royal Summer Palace
(near Phetchaburi) being additional points of interest on the drive
