... i'm not 100% certain about the mechanics involved, but i think you
should get a letter from your doctor in clear, concise english outlining
your medical condition and a copy of a prescription... go to a good
hospital (bumrungrad? someone here should know the name of the very
high-tech and world-class hospital in bangkok...) and get a scrip...
they will direct you to one of the many fine, well-stocked pharmacies in
town and there you are... it is legal to carry prescription meds across
borders if you are carrying a prescription (the letter i recommend just
to make sure)... shouldn't be a problem, so carry just enough to get you
through a couple of days while you arrange the thai prescription... on
the other hand, thai passport control etc. is usually perfunctory and
quick...
