I cannot imagine any reason for buying currency before a trip to Singapore
or Malaysia unless you just like wasting money and time.
The moneychangers are very efficient (the difference between the buy and
sell rates for US$ at moneychangers here in Malaysia is 0.7% and there is no
commission) and ATMs are everywhere.
