George.. You are exactly right. The most aggravating part of the trip was
the engine noise. But the slow boat which looked so relaxing soon was
filled up to its armpits in large sacks of rice. which made the boat list to
one side. Those who took the slow boat related this to me. However there
is a luxury slow boat, from the Luangsay Lodge that probably would be ideal
for the trip.
