There are hotels in the area around the airport, but there's not much
point in staying out there unless you only need an overnight stop for
a few hours.

You'll find better value for money hotels, and more choices of places
like restaurants if you go downtown. Take a look at one of the
reservation sites such as this and pick any hotel to suit your budget.
There are literally dozens to choose from.
