For a 4-5 beach holiday I would recommend a stay in Bintan - there is a
Banyan Tree resort there, like in Phuket. It is one of those islands you
mention 45mins outside SIN by catamaran. As for tsunamis, the island are
shielded by the Singapore straits as much as SIN. The Banyan Tree resort
is as luxurious as can be.
