Penang is definitely worth a visit - very pretty, lots of history and
monuments etc galore. Great beaches, markets etc. Fun fake things. Great
food.
Singapore is worth spending a few days in - there's lots to see and do,
beyond working out how this country has become so successful. Sentosa is
fun (I'm waiting for the purists to strike back!) and surprisingly
educational and has one of the best aquariums I've ever seen. The night zoo
is fabulous. A ride on a bum boat is interesting, visit China town, little
India etc. Shopping is great - no fakes though - you'll have to get those
in Malaysia!
