Patong looks a bit like a mass tourism place such as Mallorca and the
beach itself is so-so, while Chaweng has more the flair of a tropical
island. The beach in Chaweng is of white coral sand and the sea water is
crystal clear, while the beach in Patong is not white coral sand, the
sea water is dirty and you have to cross a road to reach the beach.
