not sure about elephants
but for orang utan, u can go to Sepilok at Sabah. http://sepilok.com/
malaysia (east&west) has some good reserved forests.
belum forest, Taman Negara Pahang, Taman Negara Bako, etc..
watching bats in Sarawak's caves is spectacular. the caves there are
either the largest or the deepest.
fireflies are breathtaking also. the only place that i know where u can
watch them is Hulu Langat, Selangor. many consider it once in a
lifetime experience, as pollution and human intervention soars.
what bout komodo dragons in indonesia?
all not as great as africa for wild animals watching :-)
