Ah. So now not only The Oriental-List has to adapt itself to suit Molon
(by having archives when they are not appropriate to its purpose, and
changing the types of questions it accepts, for instance), but
apparently the rest of the Internet, too; and the rest of us must also
dance to his tune and post only where he tells us to. No splitting up
discussion on China, boys and girls: you must only post on
rec.travel.asia.

I suspect I shan't be alone in ignoring this suggestion and posting
where I please. And that, of course, includes giving answers to queries
here from time to time which Molon doesn't see because, as he announces
proudly every now and then, he has kill-filed all postings from me. He's
a clever man.

Molon already knows perfectly well that the Oriental-List has a specific
and tighter focus than here (being moderated in order to keep pointless
debates such as this one from cluttering it up). Neither forum has any
effect on the other, or indeed the myriad other China travel forums
including the entirely commercial Thorn Tree which Molon himself uses,
and praises here without apparently seeing any similar conflict. As I
said, he's a clever man.

He is also someone who didn't seem quite so against The Oriental-List
when he found an announcement here and then joined it himself. But then
he had neither the common sense or courtesy either to read the
guidelines for posting or abide by them, and he got upset when his
postings were rejected.

He went into a big sulk which has so far lasted two or three years, and
results in occasionally pointless and spiteful attacks here that are
entirely lacking in either logic or the faintest glimmering of common
sense.

With apologies for wasting your time with these irrelevancies.
