Not sure if there are direct flights to Guilin or Lijiang (but check on
www.amadeus.net ).
2100 RMB to Kunming (2500km) is not too terrible. I paid 2140 RMB last
year for Shenzhen-Urumqi (3300km).
List price was 2840 RMB, after discount 2140 RMB. In China they use the
discount system, meaning that most of the time you don't pay the full
list price, but 30%-90% of it. However to my knowledge this discount is
only available in China. Had I booked the Shenzhen-Urumqi flight from
here (Germany) through the China Southern website, I would have paid the
full list price. Luckily bookings didn't work on the China Southern site
last September...
