Currency rates fluctuate all the time; currently the Baht is
relatively strong or rather is in strengthening mode !

Personally I have (since last 10 years or so) , always relied on
ATMs when in Thailand. If you have ATM cards with Cirrus or Plus you
should have no problem getting Cash from ATMs in Thailand. The ATM
networks in Thailand are extensive; quite similar to Turkey and
China !

My last trip was in Nov last year (to Bkk-Chaig Mai-Pai) and I made
3 wdrs in those respective locations during the 3-week travel.
The conversion rates used were about the same as offered by money
changers. Of course my home bank added a small service charge per
transaction basis. I will be doing the same again during next trip
next week.
