True, but you have to have a need for the flow of goods that is being
impeded by transportation difficulties. That problem doesn't exist
between Sumatra and Java. True, there is commerce. But the cost of the
restriction doesn't anywhere near meet the cost of the bridge.
Particularly since a large amount of the commerce comes from central
Sumatra and the road infrastructure is so bad that they couldn't even
think of using the bridge.
