For instance in Iran gasoline sells out someting like 8 euro cents a litre
(I don't know whether there have been any price hikes recently). The
mobilists frequently witness rations and gas shortages at pumps. And why?
The export of gasoline has not produced incomes enough to provide gasoline
for everyone in Iran in those massively subsidized retail markets.
Oddly enough, in the neighbouring Turkey gasoline is very precious and did
cost at least 160 euro cents a litre last summer. I just wonder whether
there are well established smuggling routes of gasoline across the border
from Iran to Turkey.
In Venezuela this Oddball Hugo has set the retail prices at a level of 4
euro cents or so.
