I found Delhi very friendly when I was there, but a) I don't have any
experience of other Indian cities to compare it with and b) I was
staying in private homes all the time. People were extremely hospitable,
and at the time I was treated a bit like an exotic special foreign guest
(well I was a foreign guest!)- it all got quite heady after a while,
though it's nice to be pampered! :)
We took a daytrip to Agra to see the Taj Mahal, so never saw Agra
itself. :)

Chandni Chowk, I'd guess, given the hotel's location.
