This is one of the biggest headaches flight attendants have to deal
with - those passengers who won't take their shoes off, want to take
their handbag/briefcase with them; people who block the aisles by
opening up overheads etc etc.
I have watched flight attendants in training going through emergency
evac drill - they are well trained. However, no-one knows how the
person sitting next to you will react. Then you have those persons
who have doped themselves with sleeping tablets that endanger flight
crews as well as other passengers.
