News to me, nice to be told about it by some-one in the USA who seems to
know far more than me.
If Sydney's going to become car free I don't know why the Transport
Minister's only announced huge road projects such as the City Orbital and
cross city tunel in just the last couple of months.

Every European city without exception? Even London, where the Mayor would
like to do this but is slightly more pragmatic.
Didn't see much evidence of it in the last couple of months when I visited
many European cities.

Whilst I would like to see more use of public transport worldwide, I don't
think that the automobile's demise is quite as close as your prediction. In
your dreams!
