If you drive on the remote outback roads you need to be adequately prepared.
On some of those roads there may be only 1 or 2 cars a week.
In the highly unlikely event that that's where you're going you need a
satphone, a well prepared 4wd, a weeks water in containers, fuel sufficient
for 1000km in containers etc etc etc
Otherwise WA is as safe as any other part of the world - safer than most in
fact.
