What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is much more preferable to rent a car for 3 weeks than buy one
period.
Firstly, the renter can pick up at his/her convenience and not have to
haggle with any vendor then go through the hassle of insuring it etc
etc etc. Then of course, having to ditch it at the end of the
trip = more hassle.
With a rental car, should something go wrong, it is up to the rental
company to put it right. Some may require the renter to pay for
repairs and then be reimbursed whilst some will have approved
repairers; at worst, the company will have to replace the car if a
major fault develops [it does happen from time to time believe me!].
If you buy a car and your in the middle of the boondocks and it breaks
down, tough luck. Call that enjoying your vacation?
