Hi,
I am travelling to Australia in November and will be staying and
(hopefully) working in Australia. I will be equipped with a WHM visa
where I can work on a temporary basis to fund my travels (I sure you
are all aware of this and theres no need for me to further explain).
1) Upon being dropped off in Sydney and finding accomodation, the next
thing I guess I will do if start looking for a job. How best do I go
about this? Im pretty much open for any kind of work (call centres,
seasonal work, clubs / bars / restaurants etc.).
2) I do understand that it is required that you have a certificate to
work in a licences premises, how strict is this rule taken? I have
heard that some places dont really bother too much. I only ask because
I have some previous bar / restaurant experience and am a little put
off about paying for a certificate course with added hassle and then
not being able to find a bar job.
3) On a less important note, I currently work as a web designer. As
mentioned I am not too bothered about what work I find but if I were
able to find a better paying job because that kind of work was in
demand then I would more likely opt for that. Has anyone else found
similar or other computer related work? How did you apply for the job?
Please tell me about it.
Anyway, if anyone would like to help me out by answering one or more of
the questions above that would be great. Also, if there is anything
else that might help me find a job (I am a complete novice here) then
please dont be shy, lol.
Thanks
Burnsy
