With reference to the expired passport, I did not make myself clear
enough. You should use the expired passport as proof of citizenship when
applying for new passport rather than a birth cirtificate. That is what
I did and was issued a new passport within a few days. Download the
application forms and fill them out on your PC, go to the issuing agency
in your home city, take two exact photos with you. I applied on 23 Jul
