I visited Tobago a few years back the day after carnival. Stayed at the Crown
Point Beach Hotel right next to the airport. Didnt like the hotel too much, we
stayed in a cabana and it was kinda rundown with 60's furniture, broken down
lounge chairs on the lawn, etc. They were in the process of doing remodeling so
things may have changed somewhat. Picked it cause it was right next door to
Store Bay beach which is where there is some post-carnival party activity...DJ
system on the beach and several places to eat and drink...I tried the dumblin'
and crab dish that everyone talks about but wasn't that impressed.
Air traffic to Tobago the day following carnival is very busy, so I suggest
making reservations way in advance.
