At the risk of being blasted & lombasted, I must ask, are you sure you
want to get involved in the local culture?? I know others have loved
the experience.... myself, found the "experience" to be a bad dream.
Perhaps I went about it the wrong way, in the wrong place, wrong time.
I certainly never got a "warm fuzzy feeling." from anyone in Jamaica.
And in fact, felt I was being intimidated on many occasions.
Other islands,not a problem. Jamaica? all-inclusives,
thank you. A shame, because its one of the few islands which truly
has it's own culture.
