Well, out of curiosity what specificaly do you infer in this particular
context by saying that the country is still Communist?

My point was that I was told by somebody that it's not possible to bring
any guests to a hotel in Cuba. For example, if I meet a girl at a night
club. So the question is does the same apply when you rent a private
housing? I heard that it may or may not be true depending on certain
regions/cities you go. Also I'm looking for something which is not far from
a nice beach area, Any variants?
