Hey Frank.
My wife and I went to Sandals Ocho Rios last February...
It was our first trip to Jamaica, and really our first 'major' holiday
anywhere...
I can't say enough about it, it was awesome, and we are ready to go back
anytime...
For our first major trip and not 'seasoned' travellers, we decided on the
all-inclusive route for a few major reasons:
I didn't want to have to worry about: carrying alot of cash or cc's, or how
much/when to tip, finding good places to eat, etc.... We just wanted to go
somewhere to relax, do as little or as much as we wanted, and get pampered.
And I can tell you we got that and more at Sandals. We did take in a few
external exursions, and I highly recommend it to get out and see a 'little
bit' of the country.
I could go on and on, and to be completely honest there were not a whole lot
of minuses... Yes, some of the vendors can be 'aggressive', but as many
people have stated in these newsgroups, if you're polite and say no, or
'respect man', or 'me no won' (me don't won't), you'll get by fine.
Hope this helps.
Tell your friends to have a great time!
