It's still possible to find Cabaņas along Mexico's Rivera Maya for very
reasonable prices. These are very basic lodging. If you like camping
you'll enjoy staying in a Cabaņa. Most do not have A/C but are so close
to the beach that they are cooled naturally by sea breezes. There is no
electricity, or tv. Most have private baths with solar heated hot water.
