The main beach there, Turtle beach, should be fine for snorkeling.

You can rent one of the small wooden glass-bottom-boats at the beach to
take you around. Done that a few years ago, they take you out up to were
the big cruise-ships are, it's wonderful clear water and should be fine for
snorkeling. Don't really remember what I paid for the trip, but it wasn't
that much (something in the range of 15 US $ for 90 minutes). If you book
it longer it should get significantly cheaper (you just have to haggle
about the price with the boat-owner).
