Depends what you want out of a holiday. We've also been to various Caribbean
islands not using AI and I dont think we saw any more/less whichever way we
did it.
It doesnt have to be 'canteen food' (my post pointed out that the food at
some of the AIs we've been to was excellent ) and you dont have to 'booze
til the end' - but its nice being able to have soft drinks all day, rum and
coke as a sundowner, and a good wine with the meal, without having to count
the pennies - as its been paid for 'upfront'. You also get facilities such
as watersports included, so you can go for the occasional waterski without
thinking I must get my money's worth and have the full half-hour, or
whatever the limit is if you are paying as you go.
