miguel is right.
I think it is also a good idea to do lots of research on the history,
culture and geography of the country you are visiting. And then ask the
locals about this stuff and be genuinely interested about it. Same goes
for meeting other tourists, ask questions about their country and only
talk about your country if they ask.
