Boy, have you missed out. Did you always eat in hotels or
something? Hint: go for the restaurants or shacks where you
see locals eating. The chicken is to die for, and so are roti,
grilled fresh fish with a bit of lime, special regional treats
like salt fish 'n ackee (if it's non-greasy), goat water,
curried goat, rice & peas, fruit like mansipoor and not-ripe
soursop and thin-skinned lady finger bananas and julie mangos,
local drink like ginger, and sorrel, nicely-roasted breadfruit
with a salt-fish stew...
Nobody could sample those things and say there isn't appeal.
