Don't!

Do you wear contact lenses? If so, I would highly recommend getting
1-day disposables for snorkeling. Even if you don't normally wear
contacts, give them a try. They are soft and very comfortable.

I am extremely nearsighted and this has been a wonderful solution. The
lenses are so cheap that you wouldn't care if you lost one. You would
just pop in another. But I have never lost one snorkeling or even just
swimming.

The reason I prefer them is that I cannot stand to be blind once I take
the mask off. When snorkeling there are numerous times that you take
the mask off, to clear it, or just because you get back to the beach or
want to sit on a rock. It is just horrible to not be able to see
anything, including your companions and the nice scenery, when the mask
is off.

You could probably get a year's worth of these lenses for the cost of
one prescription mask.

By the way, I wear hard lenses normally, but use the soft disposables
for beach, snorkeling and swimming, and as for backups when traveling in
case I lost a hard one.
